I make a habit of watering my herbs, even when I am out of town. I have this small herb garden in my yard and I go through it each spring and summer to water the plants. I love the way the little flowers pop up every year. I also have an amazing herb garden in my back yard. This is for those times when I get lazy with my water and the plants die. I love this small herb garden so much that I have it in the same spot every year.
If you have a herb garden, you might have noticed that watering your plants is often a complicated matter. For some reason, this garden is particularly interesting to me. One of the reasons that I do this watering is because the plants I grow tend to be quite large, so watering a small garden like this is quite hard. Even if you don’t have a herb garden, you can still benefit from this knowledge.

In my line of work, I have to water a lot of different things. On top of that, I have a whole lot of other gardens, so I find that I can’t just water my lawn all the time. So, I put in a small (about the size of a teacup) plastic watering can, fill it with water, and then pour about a cup of water on top. It’s easy to do, and it doesn’t require any special tools.
Now, I know this isn’t exactly the safest of methods, but I’ve found that just putting something in the water and watching it slowly get watered down is enough to get rid of most of the weeds. In my garden it works just as well. One of the things I love about having a yard is that I can take a single bucket and water my entire yard in one shot. This also means that my yard is much less likely to get waterlogged.
If you do the right thing, you can use this method for more than just weeds. As long as you set the water in the pot at the right temperature, it can help with many other things, too. For example, you can save money and energy by setting the pot on top of the stove rather than in a water bucket. You can also use it to grow more vegetables and herbs. If you keep it outside it can act as a great compost bin.
I like the idea of growing herbs in pots, but I’ve yet to find a pot that’s large enough for all the herbs I’m planning to grow.
