How to Dress Up Your Ramen Noodles

Among the top products found in most supermarkets today, ramen noodle soup is without a doubt one of the most popular foods sold. It is one of the most popular Asian adaptations in the west, along with Takana. College students love ramen noodles because they’re cheap and easy to make. However, it is important to note that ramen noodles are not just for college students.

Ramen noodles are also an excellent way for families on a budget to save money on their meals. You might think ramen noodles are not the healthiest or tastiest meal choice, but that can be changed with some culinary magic.

Indeed, they’re not the healthiest food in the world, but most of the junk is in the foil packet. Depending on your dish, you can use more or less of this seasoning mix. Eating ramen noodles doesn’t have to be unhealthy or bland. Let’s take a look at a few ways to dress up your favorite ramen noodles.

Ramen Salad

Using ramen noodles and a bit of dressing, one can create a tasty salad. Prepare a packet of ramen noodles by partially cooking them and draining them afterward. Add some butter and seasoning to the meat. Over the ramen noodles, add lettuce mixture, chopped vegetables, and drizzle salad dressing. Next, mix it all up. It may not sound like a classic salad, but it’s very tasty.

Add Veggies

A stir-fry with ramen noodles is a quick and easy way to prepare a tasty meal. Ramen noodles should be cooked halfway before serving. Stir-fry some vegetables while the noodles are cooking. You can use just about any type of vegetable, such as snow peas, peppers, carrots, onions, and broccoli. Drain the noodles and toss them with the vegetables when half-cooked. Then add your chosen amount of seasoning to taste.

Make It Creamy

A creamy chicken noodle side dish can be made by mixing milk or cream with butter and cooked chicken ramen noodles. If you want, thicken it up with flour or cornstarch. You can add meat like chicken or beef, add vegetables, and make a delicious casserole.

Add Meat or Seafood

Chicken, beef, or shrimp can also be added to ramen noodles. A beef and broccoli dish can also be made with beef ramen noodles and thinly sliced steak. By slicing beef thinly against the grain, you can also use cheaper cuts of meat because they will be tender. Sprinkle a little seasoning mix over drained ramen noodles to add shrimp and chicken.

Make a Casserole

A ramen noodle casserole can be made using partially cooked ramen noodles. A butter and breadcrumb mixture should be used to cover the cheese, chicken, and broccoli, then baked until golden brown. Add drained tomatoes and cooked taco meat to partially cooked noodles. Then cover the top with shredded cheese and smashed tortilla chips, and you have the perfect Tex-Mex casserole your family will love.

There is a good reason that ramen noodles are an Asian staple. They are affordable, easy to make, and versatile. Add your favorite ingredients or try these tips to dress up your ramen noodles.
