We can literally roll a roof onto a house and it will stay in place. In fact, I have had a long-standing roof roll system installed on my home for the past 3-4 years by my father-in-law. It works well for the first few seasons, but I’ve noticed that around the 1st of the year, the new roof begins to leak.
It could be the system or just the roof. Either way, we are talking about an extremely tedious thing to do, so I was hoping that we could save everyone the trouble and just roll a new waterproof membrane over the existing membrane.
Roofs are expensive, so its no surprise that this is an expensive system to install. We are talking about a 2-3 year project, so we’ll need plenty of time, and probably a lot of money. However, I can’t imagine a better material to roll over a membrane than one that is easily adhered. The material I’m talking about is self adhesive roll roofing, and it is the best roofing membrane I’ve ever used.
It is a bit of a stretch, but at least for now, anyone who is looking to get a new roof should be looking to roll a new roof membrane over the existing one. It is the most cost effective and least intrusive way to go about it.
Self adhesive roofing is also the most cost effective and least intrusive way to go about it. The materials and price point for this membrane are simply amazing. It is also the most durable.
Self Adhesive is a membrane that is rolled onto a metal frame. It can be rolled up and then easily lifted by a screwdriver. So for anyone looking to install a new roof, self adhesive is the way to go.
We’re not 100% sure if it will work as well for a structure as it does for a roof, but the process is easy to understand and will allow for a better bond with the existing roof. It takes about 15 minutes to roll out a set of self adhesive sheets and install them into the frame.
Also, I would like to point out that the roofing installation process is not rocket science. For any of you who wish to try this out with yourself, here is a video of the complete process from my YouTube channel.
It will take a little bit longer to install the self adhesive roof than with a standard one roof, but the installation is easy, and there are no special tools involved. The installation process is very similar to installing a regular roof, but because the sheets are self adhesive, the roofing is much stronger and it will look like it has been rolled out. I’ve recommended this to friends with roofing problems and they’ve all been very happy with it.
If you are planning on doing it yourself, the self adhesive will save a lot of time and money because you don’t need any special tools. In fact, I would recommend doing the installation yourself. The sheets are very strong and you can roll them up and roll them down, so it’s really easy to install them.
