I know the feeling. It’s like a mosquito bite that has not yet gone away. Even with the treatment and medication, it still feels like it’s still there. For me, it’s like the itch is still there, but it’s so much worse. The fact is that most women will get some symptoms but not all. There are two things that can be done in the case of itching. This usually can be handled to a certain extent.
The first is to use a heating pad or hot pack. But if you want to make it worse, you can use an ice pack. You also can use a topical antiseptic. But, if you want to cure the itch you can apply an antihistamine.
There is a third thing that can be done. The antihistamine is antihistamine sulfate (histamine sulfate works when you have an allergic reaction to histamine, which is why people suffering from histamine-mediated diseases like histamine poisoning or hay fever use antihistamine sulfate). You can also use an antiseptic like benzocaine. But, I suggest you don’t do this.
The reason is simple. Benzocaine is a very strong anesthetic. It also helps to numb the skin so you can do the itching.
Okay, so when you read antihistamine-laden literature and then use it, you get an itching sensation. When you read antihistamine-free literature you don’t get any itching at all. The itch is actually a side effect of the antihistamine. It’s an effect that occurs when you’re having a reaction to the histamine.
So, you take antihistamine-laden literature to read and then you use it, which makes you a bit of an idiot. The best way to avoid this is to not use antihistamine-laden literature at all. But I don’t recommend this. You can read antihistamine-laden literature and then do it, but you will be sorry.
I am sure that anyone who has antihistamine-laden literature can agree that they just don’t itch. But the itching side effect of antihistamine is very real, and its quite different from the itching that many people experience as a side effect of a histamine-induced reaction. If you are actually having an allergic reaction, the itching you experience is not due to an allergy to the antihistamine.
We’ve all been there. An itch that lasts for hours, and you can’t actually walk a block without it. Then you have an actual allergic reaction to the antihistamine. Or an actual allergic reaction to the antihistamine and then you have an actual allergic reaction to the antihistamine again.
When I was first diagnosed with histamine intolerance, a doctor told me that I had probably had two bad reactions to antihistamines in my life. The first was when I was very young and my mom was giving me an antihistamine. She was testing me on a bunch of different antihistamines and she accidentally gave me a huge dose of another one and it was awful. The second was when I was older and my father was giving me an antihistamine.
I just assumed it was a joke because my dad and my mom are both doctors, but apparently not. It’s all just one of those things that we all have to accept as part of life.
