I often see friends and family make comments about their periods, and it really amazes me how many times they are right. For the most part, I will not comment on what my period looks like. I will instead look at the way it makes me feel.
I’m not talking about the way it makes me feel, but the way it makes other people feel about it. I have a friend whose period makes her feel weak and stupid. I have a friend who has no idea how to start her period because she has had terrible periods before. I have a friend who has no idea how to have a period because she doesn’t have a period.
I had a friend who had a period when she was in her teens and her period never ended after that. The point is that if the period makes you feel weak and stupid, you will also feel weak and stupid when you are not having your period. This is true whether you are having a period for the first time, or just learned to have a period after a period of pregnancy (with no period).
