This is just me so don’t take this as a direct quote but I went into the third trimester feeling nauseated and exhausted. I was at the grocery store and had decided to buy fresh produce and make a big salad. I walked to the produce aisle with my bag and had to stop and take a breath. I started to freak out because I was starving and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do.
The thing is you can’t really know until you go through it, so just when you think you have a handle on things, you need to know whether it’s a good idea to keep on going or to take a break. I was in the third trimester at the time, and I took that break, and I’ve been a lot less nauseated since.
I think the best way to think about nausea is to think about it as a form of meditation. When you are nauseous, you are literally taking in your body, which is full of sensory information, and you are concentrating on this information while you are nauseated. I think it’s great advice. I also think that if you find yourself getting really nauseous, you should look into finding a class that focuses on the nausea.
I’ve been told by my husband that once nausea hits, you want to get out of the house ASAP. I agree. If you’re not feeling great, and you want to feel better, then it’s great to find ways to do that, and I don’t think I’m the only one who felt this way.

When nausea hits, that’s usually when I think about sleeping, but I also think that nausea is sometimes worse than sleep.
