I know I’m in the minority when it comes to this problem, but there is a lot of confusion out there about this issue. So here is a quick guide to what I have found to work on the problem.

Its worth noting that I have been using this method for several years now but I had a lot of success with it. The first thing to do is to do a sit-up on all fours to keep your knees from cramping up. You should be able to do a sitting forward (or just forward) motion to help with this.
The next thing to do is to sit with your legs crossed and your feet on the floor. You can either do this on a bench or on the ground. Either way, just be sure to do it slowly so that by the time you do it to death, you don’t have to worry about it anymore. You can also use a yoga mat or a towel to sit on to help with this.
If you can’t do this on a bench, you can always just do a plank position. If you can’t do this on a mat, you can always do a plank position with your knees bent and your feet on the ground.
