If you’ve had a few headaches in the last six months, you’re not alone. What I’ve seen with my clients is that there is often a combination of hormones, medication, and genetics that can cause headaches.
The fact is, there is a tendency for women to suffer more headaches after pregnancy than men. This is because women are genetically prone to it, but there are also other reasons. In my opinion, the best way to avoid headaches is to take painkillers like Tylenol. Headaches are a sign that your brain is still ‘up’ a bit. If you stop taking painkillers, your brain will be working on its own, and your brain will not be able to stop headaches when they do occur.
Although I don’t think anyone should stop taking painkillers, I can totally understand why it happens. This is the same thing I’ve told my clients about the headaches I get from stress. I have to go see a neurologist about it, and he will prescribe you an anti-depressant like Zoloft.
I have no problem taking over the counter anti-depressants. They don’t make your brain work better, they do just the opposite. You have to get those prescriptions from a doctor who knows what he’s talking about.
