Metformin is also used in the treatment of anxiety and depression and it has been known to help with anxiety in women with premenstrual syndrome. The drug is also used for the treatment of insomnia.
I can’t say I’m aware of any studies on the effectiveness of metformin for fertility, but I am of course well aware that it is used for the treatment of anxiety and depression and insomnia. There is also a very small possibility that metformin could be used to help a man get pregnant, but I don’t believe it. If you do hear anything about metformin for fertility, I apologize.
This is a completely unsubstantiated rumor, but I have a friend who has been on metformin for 6 years and was trying to get pregnant for 5 of them. He got on Metformin at the age of 17 and got on it for 6 years.
Well, I’ll tell you what I know: I have not heard of anyone getting pregnant on metformin. I myself have not had sex for at least two years (a fact, which may or may not have been on purpose). Well, the good news is that you can get pregnant on metformin if you’re taking it carefully. There is little to no good that can come from taking your Metformin as your periods should be getting more frequent. Even if you’re on Metformin for several years, you may not have a cycle as regularly as you’d like to, so a little thought and planning should help you avoid the negative side effects.
Not to mention the fact that most people take Metformin for years before they even get a cycle, so the fact that it can help you get pregnant isn’t a bad thing at all.
There are a lot of good things that come from taking Metformin too, but there are also a lot of bad things that you can do, and the fact that most people take Metformin for years before getting a cycle, that isnt a bad thing at all.
There is also a lot of research that shows that Metformin can help improve sperm quality and in turn sperm counts. That doesnt mean women who are naturally fertile are all going to end up with huge collections of baby dicks with a few squints. In fact, there are all kinds of good things that come from taking Metformin too, not the least of which is that it helps you get pregnant.
Even though you’re not supposed to take the drug before you’re ready, it’s still something to consider. Studies are showing that Metformin tends to work best when taken before you’ve even started trying. In other words, if you’rent sure if you’re on Metformin, you could do well to wait until you’re ovulating or just before you’ve had sex.
