A few weeks ago, I shared a link on my facebook page to a great breastfeeding support group. Their email address is dc breastfeeding center. I asked for a name and was told to call the center to confirm. After calling several times, I was told that they were a good group, that they were available to everyone, that they were accepting new members, and that I had to call back in a few days.
I asked the lady at dc breastfeeding center if she would be willing to write a review on my site. I explained that I would be publishing a review of the site, but I would only review the services that I would be providing, and that if dc breastfeeding center accepts reviews, so would I. She said that she understood, but that she would have to check it out.
It is a well established fact that every breast milk provider has a different approach to breastfeeding, ranging from “just use my breasts” to not giving a breast milk. There are so many different philosophies, so what is important to each provider is different. As a breastfeeding provider myself, I would like to take the opportunity to say that the best place for a new mom is to find a lactation counselor. Lactation counselors are paid professionals who are trained to provide support and guidance to breastfeeding mothers.
While you won’t find an Lactation Counselor in the DC area, the Breastfeeding Coalition has many breastfeeding programs in the area. They have a number of lactation counselors and lactation specialists available for consultation. The DC Breastfeeding Center is a great place for newly-mothers to find lactation support.
Breastfeeding moms often feel alone and unsupported, and it can be a lonely place to be during the first few months after the baby is born. That’s why the Breastfeeding Coalition is working to help women and men who have had children by the age of one understand the importance of breastfeeding and find the support that they need.
After finding my way, I’m now a part of the DC Breastfeeding Coalition and the Breastfeeding Coalition. My primary mission is to support women who have had children by the age of one and who are seeking support/coaching/resources/advice/training on breastfeeding and lactation. I am also a member of the DC Breastfeeding Coalition Leadership Team.
The DC Breastfeeding Coalition is a growing group of individuals that support women who have had children and who are breastfeeding. We support their right to make decisions about their families, and to be able support their partners. We believe that breastfeeding should be a normal part of our lives.
Many women have a difficult time letting their babies or their friends (or husbands) breastfeed. That is, they fear going back to work, they don’t want to breastfeed, they don’t want to breastfeed in public, and they don’t want to be seen breastfeeding. But what an awful way to go through life.
I was really excited to see Isobel, the lovely and sexy girl who we all know as Baby Jane, get a breast pump up in this new trailer.
The dc breastfeeding center is a new nonprofit that provides free breast pumps to women in shelters and domestic violence shelters throughout the United States. They have the funds to purchase breast pumps and provide them to their clients, who then use them as needed during their stay at the shelter.
