I have heard many horror stories about checkout lines at walmart, but I was hoping that one of these people had actually tried Wal-Mart self-checkout before it was shut down. As a matter of fact, they did.
This happened at Wal-Mart’s self checkout in Kansas City, Mo. A woman who was filling out a purchase made a comment about being a “little too smart” when she said to the cashier that she wanted to buy “paint,” and the cashier said, “Oh, well, it’s easy. You just pull out your wallet.” A few minutes later, the cashier who’d just said that looked up and saw the woman holding a bag of paint.
Sure, there are some very good reasons Wal-Mart self-checkouts exist, but I would say that at least some of the reasons they exist aren’t good reasons. One, the fact that they are conveniently located in the middle of a mall instead of some sort of out-of-the-way, seedy part of town. Two, the fact that many people are too lazy to pay attention to the self-checkout.
It’s not really all that hard to use an ebt at walmart self checkout. You are asked a few questions and you can check out the items. It’s the convenience that matters. If you can get your hands on a certain product, you can have that item without carrying it around in your pocket. If you are not going to carry the item around in your pocket, you should be able to check out the item with ease.
The best self checkout at Walmart I have seen was in a grocery store. There was an automated checkout with a button that you press. It takes a few seconds to answer and is super convenient because you can walk away.
I think that ebt is a great idea for a self checkout at Walmart. It’s much more convenient than having to fumble around in a store. The only con is that there isn’t much security. If you are caught, you don’t get to ask for a refund, and you don’t get to see the product in its original packaging. But if you do get caught, you might end up on a lawsuit.
I would like to point out that there is an automated checkout at Walmart. You just press the button, hold your phone, and get your items and pay for them. Ive been using this for a while now, and its better than a cashier, better than a computer, and better than a push button. There are no security cameras or anything like that.
However, there is an issue with this. The Walmart website does not allow you to pay for your items without entering your account number and card expiration date. If you pay for your items using an ebt credit card, you can get a receipt that you can present to Walmart to get your money back. However, this only works if both you and your billing address are on the same Walmart account.
Walmart is aware that this is not a good practice, but at least they are taking the issue seriously. They have a whole online service called the “ebt card” that allows you to use a credit or debit card to pay online. Unfortunately, unlike the Walmart site, this does not work if you live in the US and you have an ebt credit card on file with Walmart.
Yes, you can use ebt at Walmart self checkout online, but you can only use it at the Walmart website. You can only use ebt at Walmarts.com, not the Walmart.com site. You can use ebt at a Wal-Mart, but only at a Walmart location. You can only use ebt at the Walmart.com site.
