The most recent book I’ve been reading has been “The Three Levels of Self-Awareness.” It’s a book about how three levels of awareness exist in our minds, how they move through our lives, and how we can change the way we think and act. In it, it talks about what I think is the greatest lesson we can learn with regards to the way we approach the world.
I think its important to recognize that the world is a vast, ever-changing, and constantly changing place. Even if we have an extremely clear idea of what we want to accomplish, we have to continually shift our focus and approach to the task in hand. We have to become self-aware with ourselves, our goals, and our actions. We have to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others.
This is a really great lesson, and I think it can apply to the way we approach our own business as well. You see, it’s not that we have a goal to achieve. We have goals but we need to shift our focus from our goal to the process we use to achieve it.
In the same way we have goals, we have processes for getting things done. In the case of business, the process is what we do to achieve our goals. In the case of our own goals, we have to shift our focus to the process that we use to achieve them. You can imagine this in the case of goal. I’ll tell you a joke: I once went to a party and I was the new head of sales at a company.
I’m not sure if I want to go into the details here, but I have a friend who is a graphic designer. She designed a company’s logo, which I was told in no uncertain terms was a stupid logo. I told him I wanted my logo to look like a giant ball, and he told me to use his. I gave him a few days and he was still thinking about it and I was still thinking about it.
I once asked my friend if I could borrow his ball. He said yes, but that he needed to ask his boss first. He said he would do it and he did.
It’s a good thing that graphic designers have the ability to be both creative and creative thinkers.
