This week, I spent most of my time with the dog and I took care of my allergies.
As I was trying to get the dog to sleep, I had to apply my allergy medication to her. The first time I tried to do this, she snorted and made some pretty ugly noises and I was concerned. I was worried that she might be allergic to the medication, but it didn’t stop her from snoring a bit more. I thought this was pretty silly, but she usually likes to snore.
Snoring is an automatic response to being stressed. I can usually tell when she’s been stressed by how she howls. This is a good sign that she’s allergic to the medication. As a dog, she’s incredibly loud and will often make that same sound when she’s stressed. Just because it’s not a very loud sound doesn’t mean it’s not a sign of allergy.
We know that this isnt the only thing that happens when shes stressed. She often jumps and spins around a bit as shes trying to figure out what to do. In fact, she starts out doing this because shes trying to figure out how to get out of the house, but shes having a hard time. Thats the first sign that shes allergic to the medication.
While most dogs on the planet have a great sense of smell, this one has a very bad one. Shes allergic to the medication that the doctor gave to her. The dog will jump around, sometimes even trying to run into the house, as if a scent, or something not quite right is right in front of her. This is not just a bad smell, its a sign that shes allergic.
She’s not the only one. There’s a whole world of dogs out there living their lives in an allergy-induced haze.
It is a disorder called “allergy dermatitis”. Dogs that have this allergy have red, scaly lesions on their backs and legs. Sometimes these lesions can be so bad that they look like chicken pox.
No, its not just dogs. We’ve all had one of these unfortunate odors that just seems to come on strong enough to make us wish that it would go away. If you’re a dog owner, you know exactly what I’m talking about. If you’ve ever had the misfortune of getting your dog to jump up on your lap or on your bed, you know that it’s the same thing.
This is probably one of the most common allergies we have, but one that is easy to forget, and a lot easier to avoid. A lot of people don’t realize they have it because its not like most things that make you sneeze or sweat, its not a really annoying thing. I have one, and I swear, I have it a little more than most people.
Im talking about something much more unpleasant, something so uncomfortable that it gets you going, and just generally means you can’t sleep. Allergies and allergies are a bit of a self-diagnosis. We all know someone who gets one or two of these symptoms. It can be anything from the slightest itchy nose to a feeling of a runny nose that takes you to the bathroom to get to the doctor.
