I’ll be honest. I was about to throw this video into a spam folder. After all, it’s based on my own research and my own experience, and I could just as easily give anyone the same advice under normal circumstances. But the problem is I’m not normal. I have a sleep disorder that, while it didn’t prevent me from sleeping well in the past, it did make it harder to get to sleep when I did, and I don’t sleep well in the evening.

There is a lot of research showing that sleep deprivation and insomnia are associated, but it’s really hard to replicate the exact cause and effect of both. Maybe you’ve got a medical condition that prevents you from sleeping well in the evening, and you need to find another way to sleep better? In either case, you need to be aware that there are other factors in play, and you’ll probably pay for it a lot sooner than you think.

There is an interesting study that you can read about here on the Internet about a group of people who sleep for 30 minutes less per night than normal and end up with more insomnia. They also had a number of other health problems, most of which were linked. If you read the study, you will see that insomnia and sleep deprivation, even though they happen to be connected, are not the same thing.
