Rather they are decisions that we have to make on a daily basis, and we are quite capable of making them.

My wife has been lactose intolerant for a long time. For those of you who are a little confused, it is not a disease, but a physiological reaction to a lack of the nutrients that are essential for the growth of an infant. The reason is that Iodine and certain minerals in milk supply the body with the necessary building blocks for the production of thyroid hormone, which is the hormone that causes the baby to grow.

The bad news is that lactose intolerance can cause serious problems for a fetus. And while the symptoms may not be as severe as they could be if the problem wasn’t there, it is still a problem. For instance, if the fetus is malnourished, this causes the brain to develop abnormally. And since the brain is the critical organ for survival, if the fetus is malnourished and not growing, the baby will die.

The good news is that the lactose intolerance does not appear to cause brain damage. The bad news is that it is a very serious condition that can lead to permanent brain damage. And it is also something that can happen after a pregnancy. While some doctors are now recommending that you wait a few months after giving birth to see if you have a problem, it’s best to simply get tested for the lactose intolerance now while you’re pregnant.
