Yes, I do. My weight gain is not just the result of my hysterectomy, but also a direct result of the fact that I’ve been exercising very little. I exercise when I have time and when I feel energetic. I’ve always been a big guy though so my abs are now just a little bit less defined.
For years I tried to be active, but I had always been an overweight man. I had to learn to be active even if it was just walking around the house. I had to learn to eat well and drink water and to be accountable for my health. And I think that it can be applied to any activity. For instance, if I workout every day I’m not just more active, I’m also more fit.
The difference is that a gym can be a place where you can exercise for an hour or two, whereas the surgery can be a permanent thing. And if you’re a woman it may be a more permanent thing. The surgery can make you look and feel younger. And if you’re a man you can feel more macho.
Just like you can look and feel younger from a weight loss surgery, you can feel more macho from a hysterectomy. And if youre a woman it may make you feel more emotionally available. It may also make you look and feel more attractive. It may also make you feel more confident. But the difference is that the surgery can be permanent and the hysterectomy can be temporary.
In a study of over 4,000 women, hysterectomies tended to decrease a woman’s confidence. One of the women from the study said, “I don’t think they should put me on a diet. I’m a pretty woman. I can take care of myself.” And a little over a year after the hysterectomy, one woman said, “I’m a lot fuller.” She added, “I don’t feel as much sex.
It’s not really clear what that means. Perhaps it just means that you feel more confident. But it could mean you are more attractive too. It’s a little strange to say that a hysterectomy can make us feel more confident without a clear explanation. However, the fact that this woman was able to come up with such a clear explanation is a bit of a miracle. Of course, the hysterectomy is one of the most serious surgical procedures you can have.
Well, like I said, its sort of weird to say that a hysterectomy can make you feel more confident. But its true. And not only am I a little taller, but I feel taller too, since I have more muscle mass. There is no way that I can have a hysterectomy without gaining weight, so I do believe that is what I am getting.
What about the other side of this story? Many women lose their libido after surgery and this is not the first time I heard this. But the doctors say it is a complete reversal of libido, meaning that the women’s bodies are not in good shape after the surgery. There is no way that I can have a hysterectomy without gaining weight, so I believe that is what I am getting.
So what did they change? The hysterectomy was a standard surgical procedure designed to remove a woman’s uterine cells. The cells are also used in sperm production and in cancer cells. After surgery these cells are not just dead, but they are in bad shape. As a result of this there is a natural loss of libido. You cannot have a hysterectomy without gaining weight, but there is no way to gain weight without losing your libido.
