It’s also pretty easy to get a plastic shovel. I don’t know why, but most of the gardeners I know use plastic spades for digging. And why not? They’re cheap.
But if you have the money you can get plastic spades and then just use them a lot. You really only need a plastic rake to use the plastic spades to dig the soil.
