women without breasts are people with breasts. This is true. However, it’s also true that in the last few years, there has been a rise in the number of women and people with physical and even mental health problems who are also without physical or mental breasts.
For some, this is the result of a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Many people with physical and mental health problems have been born without breasts or have been born with a form of disfigurement that causes them to have breasts that don’t belong to them. Either way, women without breasts are often socially shunned and have few options for a full life.
This is a problem that is a lot more common in certain countries, than others. Myself and my colleague, Jennifer Bostrom at the University of Central Florida, have a number of studies on this topic that I encourage you to read.
