The truth is, there are a lot of men and women out there who are overweight and in the same boat as you. I’m not here to tell you that weight loss is easy. It’s not.
The good news is that you’ll be able to eat anything you want – just not in the way you normally would. In Hysterectomy, you’ll have to eat just the way you were doing for the 12 months prior to your surgery. When you eat normally, you take in all of the nutrients you need, but when you eat Hysterectomy, you’ll have to eat those nutrients in a different way.
I’ve always felt bad for guys who never had a chance to diet. I mean, when are you going to go to the doctor and say “hey, I’m ready to lose five pounds”? But now that I’m older and wiser, I know I’m not the only one who feels that way.
I like to think that Hysterectomy is a process of learning. I think that it’s kind of like a diet that is being put on by your body. It has to adapt to your body and learn to live a healthier lifestyle. In the last year I have cut nearly 30 pounds.
I want to be clear that Hysterectomy is a surgery. My suggestion would be to talk to your doctor about the possibility of weight loss after surgery. I would also agree that Hysterectomy can be an emotionally draining experience, so the decision should be made by the patient and not the doctor.
I was a lot more upset about my weight loss than you will be. I’m not a fan of surgery and I think the surgery is very often unnecessary. However, I am a big fan of weight loss. I’m not sure that I’ll lose any more weight after surgery. I feel like I’ll be able to be more active than I was before and also be more comfortable in my body. I’m sure I won’t lose any weight.
The surgery itself is a pretty major surgery. You will be waking up in the operating room, being hooked up to a bunch of tubes, and wearing a hospital gown. These days, you can also do some pretty cool stuff like getting surgery on your own and being able to get a few hours of sleep while it’s all going on.
Although it does sound like it might be a bit more strenuous than the average life-saving surgery, it is still relatively minimal. Most of the surgery is to remove lymph nodes that are causing cancer. The lymph nodes are placed under your skin and are basically little pockets that are where cancer will grow. The removal of these nodes is usually a very quick process, but you can sometimes have some recovery time.
To be honest, I didn’t think it would go as quick as that; I was expecting it to take a week or two depending on the size of the lymph nodes. However, my Dr. has been very good about letting me rest a bit after it is all done, so that I can feel normal again. I’ve also been able to get a few hours of sleep in between surgeries so I can get back to my normal life.
I do know that the hysterectomy procedure is one of the most common ones that people undergo as part of getting cancer treatments. Because they remove the lymph nodes, it can take a while for the cancer to return so I understand the idea of waiting to feel normal again, but I wouldn’t recommend it to you.
