I am a girl with a lot of self-consciousness about my pimples. I had to take my mom to the doctor because I just can’t do the traditional remedy of just rubbing them off. I also had to go to the dermatologist because the last time I saw a doctor, they told me it was fine to get them, but I was scared of the scarring and skin damage that would result from it.
It’s an odd thing to say, but I had a lot of trouble with pimples in my teens and early twenties. People thought I was really weird for having pimples and it was very hard to tell. I was teased and bullied for no reason at all and I could always count on my mom to take care of me. But I think that when I started really shaving my face, I started to get a lot of pimples.
Yes, you have pimples because you have hair in your face. But that’s only one of the reasons. It is, after all, a face. It is for all of us, whether our hair grows long or short. It is a part of us. So it is no longer something we “should” be ashamed of. We have pimples because they are there, we have to deal with them, and we have no power over them.
As the saying goes, when we are honest with ourselves, we can change how we feel about ourselves. And that is what having self-awareness is all about. We can look at ourselves and see the truth. If you’re honest with some of the people who love you, then you will grow.
I really like this quote by Dr. Phil, which is one of the best things about the site. I love the simplicity of it that sums up so well what it really means to have self-awareness.
I was going to say, “No, really. What Dr. Phil is saying is that you can’t change how you feel about yourself. You will always feel like this. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t change it. You can, but you have to change the things that make you feel like this. And that is why Dr. Phil’s advice is so important.
The best way to deal with this is to just stop. Stop looking at yourself and start looking at the world around you. Stop thinking and just FEEL. When you are feeling self conscious, you are always going to be putting yourself out there. Thats why the first thing I check when I start a new project is “do I feel like I can make that work?” If I am feeling like I cannot make it work, then I am definitely off track.
My personal history with acne is long and long and well documented. I was also recently diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia (and as a result, a lot of people have a bad time). I have long hair and I have been known to have pimples on my forehead, neck, and chin. I have been to several dermatologists, and they have all said to stop. I have tried everything from hot compresses to laser treatment, but nothing works.
But here’s the thing. There are at least two reasons why people have pimples on their face. One is that there is something wrong with your skin. The second is that something is causing your face to get pimples. When you have chronic disease like chronic fatigue syndrome, you can get pimples on your face because your skin is worn down. The most common cause of pimples on people with chronic disease is acne.
Well, if you have acne, you can have pimples too. But if you have severe acne, you are more likely to get pimples than someone who doesn’t have acne. And those pimples usually go away, but you may get scarring.
