I know, I know. You’re probably thinking that this is such a mundane topic, but the reality is that it is one of the most important in the world. And once you’ve learned the basics of what’s involved, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of its use.
Urinary tract infections, or UTIs, are a common problem, but a lot of people don’t know they can actually go untreated for quite a long time. When urinating, your bladder fills with urine, which is then forced through your urethra into your bladder. This can cause various types of damage such as scarring in your bladder, bladder stones, and even bladder cancer.
Now that you’re thinking about a UTI, you’ll probably start to get the urge to pee all over your house. And that is because your urethra is lined with your bladder, which is made of a mucous membrane. When you pee, your bladder contracts to push the urine out of your bladder, which results in the creation of a small, round “pouch.
That pouch is called your urethra. Once the urine is out of your bladder, the mucous membrane that lines your urethra contracts to make room for new urine. Because your bladder is made of mucous membrane it is more resistant to injury. As your urine is pushed through your urethra, a part of it will likely get stuck in your bladder. The result of this is that your bladder will become swollen. This is called a bladder infection.
The first step in treating a bladder infection is to stop the infection from spreading. If you don’t, these infections will quickly spread to the surrounding tissue that lines your urethra. A doctor will run a urine test to see if your bladder has been infected. If so, the doctor will either prescribe antibiotics or perform a cystoscopy (an endoscopic exam of your bladder).
The bladder is a very important organ for relieving stress and discomfort. When your bladder is full, it exerts pressure on your urethra which is where urine comes out. This pressure can cause an infection to break out. If you have a bladder infection, the doctor will run a urine test. If you are prescribed antibiotics, you must return to the doctor for a follow up visit.
There are a ton of antibiotic options, and if you are using them correctly, the results are often quite favorable. But if something is not right with your bladder, you will need to see a doctor.
I do know that it is very rare that you will get UTI’s without antibiotics. I’m assuming you are not on any sort of antibiotics at the moment, because if you are, ask your doctor about them. If you are, you should ask your doctor about using the antibiotic combinations. If you are not on any antibiotics, you are probably going to need to see a doctor.
Yes, I’m on antibiotics. I’ve been taking a lot of them for the last few days. I also feel like I need to see a doctor. I’ve been on it for a few weeks and I’ve been feeling fine. I hope that this is just a phase and not a serious issue.
Urinary tract infections are very common and can be complicated and frustrating. Even if you aren’t on antibiotics, you might want to see a doctor.
