The problem is that when you start to think something negative about yourself, you create more trouble for yourself. Your self-awareness causes you to self-reflect, which means you have to analyze yourself for what you’re doing wrong and how to change it. It also means that you have to figure out how you want to behave when you’re not being treated unfairly. The more self-awareness you possess, the more you can control your own behavior.
If you want to improve your self-esteem, then you have to first acknowledge you have one, then figure out how to get that out of your head. If you start to think that your self-esteem is a weakness, then your self-esteem will have no self-awareness, and you will self-defeat. To improve your self-esteem, you need to first take a moment and acknowledge you have one.
