But we should know it is especially true for those of us who want to change and live differently. Our habits and behaviors shape who we are. We are hardwired with the desire to keep ourselves on the same page with the same goals and habits. We are hardwired to seek and pursue our own satisfaction.
So we can’t control our own lives. But we can control our own habits, routines, impulses and reactions. We can control the way we exercise our willpower, the way we discipline ourselves, and the way we think about who we are. We can control the way we behave. That is, if we are willing to do it.
