The risks of transplanting stool into a colon that has already been cleaned out.
The risk of transplanting stool into a colon that has already been cleaned out is a serious one. In my case, I had to go through a colonoscopy, and in the end had to make a decision whether I’d risk getting a colostomy. You know, the colon stumper.
I went for the colon stumper. I just need to get the thing out of my body.
The colon stumper is a procedure to remove the whole colon after it has been cleaned out. It’s a very invasive procedure and is usually done by a surgeon who’s also a gastroenterologist. It’s an operation that has more risk than most surgery. It’s also not always a sure thing. Most colostomies are done for cancer, and people who have a history of colon problems are at a higher risk.
I don’t have a history of colon problems myself, but I think I’m at high risk of getting colon cancer. Most people who get a colon stumper have a history of colorectal cancer. That’s my guess anyway.
The risk is that if the procedure goes wrong, the patient will pass the stool through the wrong part of the gut. This has a high risk of causing an infection, or worse. In most cases it will not be life threatening, but it is a concern. As it turns out there are also more than a dozen side effects that could ruin the bowel. There is also the risk of the patient passing the stool and causing a life-threatening infection.
Of course, if you are planning on having a bowel transplant, you are probably already a candidate. So if you are considering doing an assisted stoma/stool transplant, please review the risks and benefits thoroughly. There are no guarantees this will help you, but it could save your life.
The good news is that, as it turns out, there are lots of studies that show assisted stomastool transplantations help people with diabetes. These results are generally more convincing with people who have had the surgery performed by a plastic surgeon. It also helps that the surgery is done by trained, well-experienced surgeons.
The problem is stool transplantation is a very high-risk operation. One of the more common problems people have with stomastool surgery is blood clots, which occur when blood flows through a weakened area of the blood vessel. Without the stoma (which is a hole in the intestinal wall), the blood cannot flow through the weakened area. Stomastool surgery is also done with a mesh covering the intestinal wall.
