The nipple piercing study is important, because it can be used to determine the best age to start piercing. If we can find women who have had nipple piercing before age 30 who have developed Breast Cancer, then that tells us the risks involved in piercing before age 30. If we find women who have nipple piercing before age 30 who have their nipples pierced at the lowest risk of developing Breast Cancer, then that tells us that the risks associated with nipple piercing before age 30 are very low.

For people who are interested in nipple piercing, this is a study that has been underway for over 10 years. Unfortunately, because nipple piercing is such a new procedure, it is impossible to say with any certainty what will happen to people who are not told about the risks. But the nipple piercing study has been a huge success. Over 13,000 women have been asked about nipple piercing, and over 3000 of them have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer; the most deadly form of cancer. And it’s only going to get worse as the life expectancy of the average woman is dropping, and thus the numbers of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer are also going to get worse. Even though breast cancer is treatable, women with nipple piercings are at high risk of dying from breast cancer.
