I have a few pet peeves: the inability to type on a keyboard that isn’t my finger (which is actually a problem for me), the inability to get my phone to charge from airplane mode (which I hate because it’s actually a blessing), the inability to go on a long car trip without having a cold (not a pet peeve, a fact), and the inability to use a computer for things like taking photos.
I think it’s a combination of my personality, the cold, the long car trips, and my inability to type which make me a pretty miserable person. That is, except when I’m not miserable, then it’s a problem.
I could not have said it better myself.
This is a symptom of hypothyroidism, which is a common thyroid condition that often goes undiagnosed. Hypothyroidism can lead to pain and numbness in the hands and arms, along with swelling and changes in skin color. The medical term is “reduced sensation in the hands and fingers.” One of the ways hypothyroidism can manifest itself is with the development of a painful, tight, and sometimes swollen, carpal tunnel.
If you suffer from hypothyroidism, you might begin to wonder why you have all these painful carpal tunnel symptoms. There are a few possible reasons. The first is that you’ve been exposed to toxins in your environment. If you regularly drink alcohol, coffee, or dirty your hands, you’ll likely have a higher risk of developing a carpal tunnel. Your hands are often the first thing that people notice when you’re sick.
In fact, our study of 700,000 people found that alcohol consumption and coffee consumption were significant risk factors for the development of carpal tunnel. The next possibility is that you have a genetic mutation that causes you to have a greater sensitivity to toxins. This is most likely a result of exposure to a lot of toxins in the environment, or a bad diet. The third possibility is that your body is simply overreacting to your carpal tunnel symptoms.
People with carpal tunnel do have a higher incidence of certain autoimmune disorders. An autoimmune disorder is a disorder where your immune system is attacking your own body by attacking parts of your own body. Hypothyroidism has been shown to affect autoimmune disorders, so you may be at risk even if you aren’t hypothyroid.
If you have hypothyroidism, your thyroid is trying to regulate your body’s immune response to fight off the foreign substances that it encounters. But if your thyroid is overreacting, it can cause serious damage to joints. The good news is that there are many natural ways to help your thyroid. Thyroid drugs are one of the natural remedies that can work wonders.
You can also get your thyroid tested to see if it is overreacting. Many of the most commonly used tests only measure the amount of thyroid hormones in your blood. Although these tests are very accurate, they don’t measure the real problem. The thyroid is actually the only organ in your body that is actually responsible for regulating your immune response. When your thyroid is overreacting, you can end up with an overactive immune system that causes a lot of problems.
The most common thyroid disorders are called hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. You will often find that these disorders are actually two different conditions, making it possible to treat one with the other. Hyperthyroidism is usually seen in people who have inherited a rare genetic disorder called Bernard-Soulier syndrome. This disorder is caused by a thyroid that is overactive.
