Teachers can take it upon themselves to talk their students into acting however they want. While that may be good advice, some teachers make it out like a game. They say that you can control your student, but that they can control other students as well. They give us a look of absolute control. It looks like a game, but it is not.
I don’t know about you, but I think the last time I was in a classroom I felt a lot more free than I did before. I don’t know why this happened. Perhaps it was because I was surrounded by a group of people who knew what they thought and how they felt and that made it easier to let go of my own voice and become more myself.
I agree. The more comfortable I felt in my social life, the easier it became to let go of my own control and just let go. This is one of the reasons I think so much of people who are into video games can become so obsessive and into “letting go and being alone.
Again, this happens with video games too. We learn in school that we are nothing without our social networks. We are simply a bunch of individuals with varying perspectives. We develop a lot of ideas about how we should handle things and even about how to address our own issues, but we forget that there is no such thing as a “good” or “bad” situation. We are each in our own little world.
