ground orchid care and propagation is my second-favorite topic that I get asked about at the end of the day. I love the idea of planting ground orchids for the same reason I love a good hot bowl of chili: they are beautiful and they grow fast! However, there is a lot of misinformation out there about orchid care. The good news is that you can help protect ground orchids by making a few simple changes in your yard this fall.
The first thing I do when I see a healthy orchid is check to see if the plant is in bloom. If the plant is in bloom, it means it is well-established. A good orchid will have a green stalk, bright yellow flowers, and stems that look thick and flexible. Most ground orchids are much smaller than a normal orchid. Their stems can be several inches thick and can be quite delicate.
If you notice that one orchid is sick in your yard, it’s probably because it has had too much rain. This is a sign that the plant needs some extra water. The best way to add water to your ground orchid is to dig up a few pot plants and let them soak up the excess water. Next you can dig some holes in your yard and fill them with water, then plant your orchid in there.
You can also plant your orchid along the sides of your driveway and plant your house plants in between the orchid and the driveway. The water will help keep them healthy.
This is a good tip, especially if your orchid is a ground orchid. As a rule, plants that are not rooted in the ground like orchids grow more quickly, so you can plant them outside. If you have your orchid in a pot, though, you could dig it up and plant it where it isn’t in the ground, but will be in a better spot anyway.

Ground orchids are really easy to grow on your own. You just need to buy a pot and water it. All you really need is a soil medium that provides a good amount of nutrients and a rooting system that works for your orchid. I would personally recommend a mix of half-soil and half-leaves. I found that I had more success growing ground orchids if I used this mix.
Ground orchids are easy to grow, they are cheap, and they are really hard to pull up. To be honest, I think it might be easier and cheaper to just buy a pot and a potting soil.
So, it’s not exactly inexpensive, but it is cheap. I also believe that you should always buy a pot and soil combination that works for your orchid. I have read people complain about being unable to get their orchid in the ground, but that isn’t always the case.
I know I am one of those people. My orchid has a bunch of issues. The soil is too compact and the potting mix is too high in nitrogen. The problem is getting my orchid growing. If I can get it growing, I will report it to my friends. I’m usually pretty good at not talking, so my friends wouldn’t have the first idea about what kind of trouble I’m in.
