Vulvodynia is the pain or discomfort that occurs during sexual activity (sex) and/or intercourse (vaginal intercourse). Vulvodynia is often associated with vulvar erosions and vulvar lichen. Other causes can include pelvic radiation, ankylosing spondylitis, arthritis, and stress fracture.
Vulvodynia has a wide variety of causes but the most common is stress injuries, which can be quite painful. They can also include stress fractures or repetitive strain injuries.
In my experience, most of the people who suffer from vulvodynia are in their late teens and early twenties. The pain they get from vulvodynia is most often associated with vulvar redness, swelling, irritation, and lacerations. The pain can be so intense that it may even cause intercourse to be painful or uncomfortable.
Vulvodynia is one of the more common causes of vulvar discomfort and pain, but it’s usually not severe. Women will often report that the pain is “light-headed” and “not at all intense.” It may take a few days for the pain to start, but most people don’t experience serious pain for a month or two.
The symptoms are very similar to those of vulvodynia, and vulvodynia is one of the most common vulvar ailments, with an estimated 2.5 million cases occurring annually in the US. It can be very painful and it can last a long time. This is why many women consider it better to avoid foods that contain nitrates, which can increase the pain of vulvodynia.
The link above is a general list of foods that can cause vulvodynia, but you should be aware of a few foods that you should avoid with vulvodynia, as well.
Avoiding foods that can be a source of nitrate is a good idea. A major source of nitrates in food is the nitrate in the salt industry. Foods made from sodium nitrate (sodium nitrite) are very popular in many food products, including salt and pepper. The main source of nitrate in the food supply is from the “fertilizer” industry, which uses fertilizers, nitrates, and other chemicals to grow plants.
According to the National Center for Health Statistics, more Americans have been diagnosed with vulvodynia than any other form of vulvar pain. So you’d think that the idea of nitrates in food and the idea that you’re going to get nitrate poisoning from eating foods that contain them, would be just a strange coincidence. But that’s not what happened to our friend Colt.
He was on a camping trip in the woods, when he accidentally started eating the nitrates in the food he was eating. He got really sick and the doctors at the camp’s hospital weren’t very sympathetic. The nitrates in his stomach were too strong, and he was dying. Luckily, someone found him, and in a miraculous coincidence, he recovered from his illness just in time to get some other treatments and go back to the camp.
Its a bit like having a bad case of vaginitis or a bad case of the flu. You get the symptoms but you don’t remember the cause. Then you find out you have an incurable disease. It can be particularly debilitating when it comes from something that you have no control over. It’s like saying you have a bad case of rheumatoid arthritis or something. But it’s not that bad.
