I’m often asked about the effects of my medications and how they affect me and my body. A lot of times, I feel more tired, less energetic, and less motivated while using certain medications.
To me, it sounds like you’re just saying you’re tired. Like, “I’m tired of drinking this,” or “I’m tired of smoking this,” or “I’m tired of my life.” Like, what’s wrong with having a little “I’m tired of this” in your life? I can totally understand that.
Sometimes it can feel like the meds are making you lazy, depressed, or just plain stupid. It can also feel like the meds are making you ill. Sometimes the effects of the meds can feel worse to the point that just a small amount of them causes a person to get sick.
There is an effect called “drug fatigue” that is caused by the repeated use of prescription drugs. In other words, if you take an over the counter pain pill and it works, you probably have drug fatigue. But if you take that same pill every day for a year, you may have drug fatigue that comes on with every dose. If you take the pill for a week, you may not be able to do anything but lie in bed.
Drug fatigue has been proven to be caused by the same kinds of pills as anxiety, stress, and depression. There is a name for this kind of fatigue, and it is called the “chronic drug user syndrome,” a term coined by a few researchers at the University of Colorado. They have shown that the chronic user syndrome is often caused by the drug user’s own actions and decisions, but it can also be caused by the actions of the people around them.
We’ve all been there. I’ve been there, but also I’ve been lucky enough that I’ve seen it before. People who take drugs often have a lot of different things going on at the same time and it can be hard to tell what’s going on, especially when it starts going on a few weeks after a person has quit a drug for whatever reason.
The chronic user syndrome is the idea that most people who start taking drugs have trouble sticking with them. Those who have this problem tend to have trouble sticking with whatever they were doing before they started using drugs. They have trouble sticking with their jobs, their friends, their hobbies, or their relationships. This is because if you have a chronic drug user syndrome, you can find it hard to stick with anything.
The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a medical term for a set of symptoms that are hard to explain to others. It’s a very common but unexplained medical condition that is characterized by a persistent low-grade body ache. CFS is not uncommon in the U.S. It affects about 10 to 15 people per 100,000.
CFS is a very hard problem to diagnose. The only thing that is certain about it is that it is a chronic illness. The rest is just guesses. Some people have it but no one really knows why they have it. For that reason, many doctors dismiss the diagnosis and treat it as a “symptom” rather than a disease.
