I’ve just begun learning about lupus and my liver feels like a sponge. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not. What I think it is is that I’m very sensitive to chemicals and pollutants. I’m not allergic to most things but I am sensitive to some things.
Lupus affects your liver in a number of ways, but the most common is that it causes your immune system to attack your liver. This, combined with an autoimmune reaction from your body attacking your liver, leads to scarring and eventually liver failure.
You can’t really blame this on lupus, but it is a known fact that there are a number of chemicals that can have an effect on your liver. For instance, high levels of alcohol, too much caffeine, and certain foods can also have an effect.
If you have lupus then you’re likely going to have issues with your liver, but it doesn’t have to be the liver. This is especially true for those who have been diagnosed with lupus. Lupus can cause the liver to malfunction, and if this doesn’t happen with your liver then there is a chance that certain other organs can also be affected, so don’t panic if you see a liver problem.
I myself had to have an MRI scan to rule out a liver thingy, and in the end I didnt have to worry. As it turned out, the MRI I had was for a problem with the heart, not the liver.
Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that causes the skin to turn red, the whites of your eyes to turn blue, and the whites of your feet to turn yellow. You may look like a person with lupus, but you really dont. The disease can also cause problems with the eyes and the joints, as well as damage the kidneys, heart, and liver. Lymphocytes are the tiny cells that are in charge of fighting off and healing lupus.
But can Lupus affect your liver? The answer is no. Lupus affects the entire body, but the liver is a small part of the body that doesn’t have as much to do with the immune system. The liver, on the other hand, is a very key part of a person’s immune system. When there is a lot of inflammation in the liver, it can become damaged.
Lupus is another autoimmune disease, which means it is caused (usually by an infection) by your immune system attacking your body. It generally manifests with joint and skin rashes (joints are mostly affected, skin is more widespread), flu-like symptoms, and sometimes bone or muscle pain. These symptoms can appear anywhere on the body, but usually have a tendency to occur in the joints and the skin. Lupus can happen at any age.
There is no cure for lupus. This disease is more commonly thought of as a chronic illness. However, there are some treatments and medication that can help treat the disease. Treatment options include oral medications, topical medications, and immunomodulators. Lupus can also be diagnosed by blood tests, such as those done to check for autoantibodies that can tell you if your body is attacking itself.
Lupus is also known as rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis isn’t as common as it once was. But it is still fairly common. It’s estimated that 1.8 million Americans will have had the illness in 2012.
