However, there is a very large range of areas that you can stab at, and a very large range of physical actions that you can take to protect yourself. The most important part of being a good self-defender is to know yourself, and be aware of your actions and habits and how they can be used against you.
I’m a big fan of the phrase “self-awareness”, but I can’t say I know if the term is being used right or not. The most common self-awareness-type things I see people talk about is “knowing when to be aggressive”, “know what to say when someone punches you in the head”, or “know when to say no.” Self-awareness would be a self-aware person who knows when to be aggressive and knows when to say no.
Well, the best place to stab someone in self defence is obviously in the self-defence section of the dictionary, but it seems that the majority of self-defenders are not self-aware. The point is not to be self-aware, but to know yourself and, more importantly, to be aware of your actions and habits and how they can be used against you.
The difference between self-awareness and self-defence is that the latter involves the conscious awareness of your actions, habits, and reactions. Self-awareness is the ability to monitor and control your own actions and habits and reactions. Self-defence is a response to your own actions and habits and reactions.
